In this workshop, students will learn the foundational skills required to create the perfectly shaped posy, a timeless and elegant style of bouquet. You’ll begin by working with a carefully curated selection of seasonal blooms, learning how to care for each flower and prepare them for arranging. MFS instructors will guide you step by step through the process, from selecting stems and trimming foliage to understanding balance, proportion, and shape in bouquet design.
As you work, you’ll develop hands-on techniques that form the cornerstone of floral design, gaining confidence in creating a classic, beautifully structured bouquet. This workshop not only teaches technical skills but also nurtures your creativity, encouraging you to combine colours, textures, and forms in a way that reflects your own style.
Once you’ve created your bouquet, it’s time to give it the finishing touch — the wrap! In this session, you’ll learn simple yet effective wrapping techniques that enhance the beauty of your arrangement and give it a professional, polished look. Our instructors will guide you through selecting the right materials, folding and securing the wrap, and adding finishing touches such as ribbons or twine.
This hands-on experience teaches not only technique but also the art of presentation, helping you understand how thoughtful wrapping can elevate your bouquet from beautiful to stunning. Whether you’re preparing flowers as a gift, for an event, or simply to enjoy at home, these skills will ensure your designs look as impressive as the effort you put into creating them.
