"Now that the wedding season is on full swing, we're getting alot more brides requesting pink-toned bouquets and blossoms," said Kim Treherne Cardillo, founder of the Melbourne Flower School.

"It's popularity doesn't just stem from being on-trend," the Footscray florist said. "It aslo works with a variety of floral colour palettes, making it quite versatile."

Ms Treherne Cardillo is to participate in next year's Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show for the second time.

"We had a stall at this year's exhibition and created an interactive public display for the public, which was really fun," she said, "It really challeneged my creativity, so I'm already brainstorming what we'll do next year."

Tickets for the show, from March 21-25, are now on sale.
